Dr. Radu Duca is a toxicologist with primary focus on occupational health and hygiene. He is responsible of research and development within the Laboratory of Environmental and Occupational Hygiene, Center for Environment and Health, KU Leuven, Belgium. His main scientific interests are related to the evaluation of the respiratory exposure (e.g. dust, VOCs), characterization of dermal exposure (assessment of surface contamination and using interception sampling techniques), and the use of novel analytical methodologies for the development of better biomarkers of effect (such as epigenetic marks) or biomarkers of exposure using various biological media (e.g. blood, serum, urine, hair).
