Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences
Jelle Vlaanderen is an Assistant Professor at the Institute for Risk Assessment Sciences. His research interest lies in conducting studies that contribute to the elucidation of the role of environmental factors in disease etiology. In practice this translates into a focus on the use of molecular markers in association with both environmental exposures and disease and on the development and implementation of methods that contribute to exposure assessment and causal inference in epidemiological studies. He conducts his research within fields of interest ‘air pollution’, ‘occupational risk factors’, and ‘cancer’.
