We are pleased to announce that André Conrad, Deputy Head of Section “Toxicology, Health-related Environmental Monitoring” will give a keynote presentation at X2018. The presentation title is “HBM4EU – Coordinating and Advancing Human Biomonitoring in Europe”.
Environmental Engineer and Senior Scientist with the German Environment Agency (UBA). Since 2013 he is Deputy Head of the UBA Section “Toxicology, Health-related Environmental Monitoring”. His main responsibilities are statistical data processing and evaluation as well as scientific management of research projects. Currently, he is senior research associate for the Environmental Specimen Bank (ESB), co-principal investigator of the German Environmental Survey (GerES) and also involved in HBM4EU. His main research interest is the combination of biomonitoring and exposure modelling for an integrated exposure assessment. He participated in the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre Project on Establishment of Default Values for Consumer Exposure Assessment Purposes from 2008-2009 and was member of the WHO/Europe working group on the harmonization of methods for assessment of environmental health policies. He is co-speaker of the working group on environmental medicine, exposure and risk assessment of the German Epidemiological Society, the German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometrics, and Epidemiology and the German Society for Social Medicine and Prevention. Since 2015 member of the Environment and Child Health International Birth Cohort Group (ECHIBCG).
